By Fiona Marshall
Monday, August 31, 2020

An update from AgPlus Diagnostics CEO Fiona Marshall:

As we come to the end of August, we are all starting to return from our holidays hopefully with a spring in our step, although for most, this year’s holiday was a bit different due to the COVID-19 situation.

At AgPlus we have continued to progress our Agilis™ platform and assays and we have the first off prototypes due in early September. The team have been working hard and we have collected some good clinical data for our HNL assay. This biomarker is released from neutrophils in the presence of bacteria and we have been able to show good correlation with the current available commercial ELISA. The next step is to transition this onto the Agilis™ Platform and work with our partners Diagnostics Development to do further clinical analysis in Upsala University Hospital.

Covid-19

AgPlus is pleased to announce that we have won over £230,000 in grant funding to facilitate our COVID-19 diagnostic assay development. This is helping us to focus resource on developing a serological assay and antigen detection assay. To find out more about our success please click here.

AgPlus was incorporated in 2015 and we are very excited to be celebrating 5 years of success, 2020 has been a pivotal year for us with the Agilis ™ platform nearing validation, development of 2 COVID-19 assays and a team going from strength to strength. So, we have decided to invite you all to a virtual trade show to celebrate with us. We hope you can join us and more information will follow shortly around this, so keep checking your inbox!!

AgPlus are also planning on exhibiting at MEDCIA in November (Hall 1 /1D03 GAMBICA stand) and we hope that we will be able to demonstrate live our new Agilis™ platform. We look forward to seeing you there all being well. We will be in touch nearer the time to book appointments.

Once again thank you for taking the time to read my update and if you have any further questions please do get in touch.

Stay Safe
